Im getting very tempted to get the JXD S7800 Android gaming tablet. Has emulators for almost every gaming console/computer pre ps2 and all of the games are freely available.
One of the emulators available is the Commodore Amiga. Now if I can guarantee getting Sensible World of Soccer on the JXD, which should be possible, then they can take my money now.
A back catalogue of the entire PS1 / Nintendo and Sega collections for free - well thats better than the occasional new indie game on the vita.
This doesn't come as any surprise seeing as Sony themselves can't be bothered to support their own game machine with games.
There are actually plenty of games available, just not what people expected Sony would do with the device seeing as it was sold as a proper 'ps3' in your pocket.
I still enjoy it, loads of decent games to play. Losing Maps, Near and YT are no big issue.
Sony are getting the flack for YT but it's more than likely Google that have pulled the plug on it.
£130 here, and use the discount code TEAMVVV for 5% off.
Love my Vita but that JXD looks interesting - shiny shiny...

Not used my Vita for months. The one game I was interested in (Freedom Wars), lost me for some reason.
But even when I did use my Vita, I never used maps and booted Near up once or twice just to see what it was.

I see my vita as more of an extension of my ps4, losing features I don't use isn't that big a deal.
All they need to do is add ds4 support and the vita would be getting a lot more love them it does now for many.

Agreed on all points.
I'll definitely miss the YouTube app. I use it loads (when the missus is watching crap telly stuff for example) even though I have my Nexus 7 at hand... Won't miss near or maps though.

It had you tube and maps? Never used them. And what the heck was near, never made any sense.

dropping of Youtube is,to do Google. They are changing over from v2 -v3 of something youtube uses. Any youtube app not updated won't work with a patch after the April.
When Location settings are turned on I find that if I remote play a Ps4 game it will drop signal or the image will break up.
But turning off location settings remote play works great.
Ive seen plenty of other people of other people say the sane thing, and wonder if it's Sonys solution to the problem.
Get rid of location settings at the cost of a couple of apps not used as much.
Andy, you are a legend. Thanks for that tip. Was having loads of issues with remote play
Pleased to help... Even if unintentionally
It works perfectly now.
Hence why I think the removal of location setting is in Sonys eyes a necessary evil.
Be interesting Wether Near (and games) will still be able to find your location, but only when they are being actually used.
I.e: Sony are removing Background location finding.
This probably sounds like a daft question but is there a location service on the PlayStation TV thingy?

Think it was removed from that
I do have a question for those that may still have the ps tv device.
Did you leave the connect direct to ps4 option ticked? If you untick that and have both the ps tv and ps4 hard wired using a good quality cat5 or 5e cable it should eliminate most of the issues.
I unticked it after reading loads of people having problems with it. Ever since i did it i don't think I've had a disconnection!!
